In an interview, Phil says “This song was written in the middle of kinda the toughest period for me, a couple week period last year in 2020 when I was just like Lord what is happening in our world?” He also commented, “Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is at hand and it’s here and that’s what this song really is about.”
