Un sismo de magnitud 5,6 remeció el noroeste de Costa Rica, tres días después de que otro movimiento telúrico de 7,6 de magnitud azotó al país centroamericano.
El Servicio Geológico de Estados Unidos informó que el sismo tuvo su epicentro a 64 kilómetros al sur-sudeste de Liberia, Costa Rica, a una profundidad de 35 kilómetros.
No hubo reportes inmediatos de daños. El terremoto del miércoles, el más severo registrado en Costa Rica en más de dos décadas, provocó deslaves y derribó edificios, pero no causó muertes. Aquel también tuvo su epicentro en la parte noroeste del país.
