Abraham and his family left their home in Haran based on promises that God told him. As we know today, God fulfilled those promises in the most awesome ways- and his greatest blessing to Abraham was his faith. Even in today's world and all our unfaithfulness, God remains faithful in his vows to us- that as believers of His word, we can look forward to a heavenly reward and eternal life with him.
This message was preached by Dr. Earl Johnson, Jr. at Grace Bible Baptist Church. We are located at 1518 N. Rolling Road, Catonsville, Maryland 21228 (410-788-6132). Everyone is welcome to attend all services and events. We also invite you to view our weekly television program, The Everliving Story, Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. on Channel 54 and Cable Channel 14. "Where are you?" These words were spoken by God as he coaxed Adam and Eve to come out of hiding after they had eaten the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. As God's children, we hear this phrase when we try to assign blame and shame to those who have done wrong to us or when we have wronged others. But Jesus made it possible for us to return to God by dying on the cross and assuming all the responsibilities for our sins. Isn't it wonderful that we have a God we can totally trust and who never gave up on us even after the terrible fall!
Christ taught a way of Life, not a religion. No one wants to step up and do what needs done. Its easy to sit and talk like you know what you are talking about. It is easy to throw religion around.
We have eliminated God and instead we are living a cartoon. We have become Barbies and G.I. Joes. God doesn't like cartoon churches. God is a Way of Life. It is time to get out of the cartoon.
Hello and welcome to Salem UMC... We hope you are enjoying the same beautiful Spring like weather that we are here in Middle Tennessee... Enjoy the sermon.
