It seems long overdue, and finally, a singer has provided a “Jolene” cover that responds to Dolly Parton’s hit song from Jolene’s perspective. Even if you’re not interested in what she’s got to say, give her a chance!

For all who love Dolly Parton and her ballad about her cheatin’ man, and for all those who hate that hussy Jolene, here’s a song that might make you feel a smidge of compassion for the auburn-haired, green-eyed gal that threatened Dolly’s marriage all those years ago. 

Dolly Parton has addressed questions over the years about the story behind “Jolene.” Did she exist? Was it serious? Just how much of a scoundrel is her husband? Well, according to Far Out Magazine, there was a woman at the bank who had a crush on Carl Dean, and she flirted with him. And, he enjoyed it more than he should have. 

But, it seems that’s as far as it went. The rest is fiction, and the beauty described in the song was inspired by a young fan at a concert. She’d asked Dolly for an autograph; her name was Jolene.

Truth or not, many have had it out for Jolene. Listen to what she has to say on the matter.

Iluka, as Jolene, starts out by “begging” Dolly to “drop that cheatin’ man.” Jolene knows that she’s taken the blame for a long time. She understands that folks think she put a spell on Dolly’s husband and that he is nearly incapable of resisting her charms. 

But, Jolene says that is not the case. She alleges that Dolly’s husband was easily “seduced” and he made his own choices!

Jolene then reminds Dolly what a gorgeous Tennessee “queen” she is. She again begs Dolly to drop him, because she deserves so much better.

The next verse is even more enlightening. Dolly’s cheatin’ man had taken off his wedding ring, and Jolene had no idea he was spoken for. Furthermore, though he may be talking about Jolene in his sleep, she says he was nothing more than a shot of “dopamine” for her. Jolene expresses her best for Dolly, assuring her that she can find someone who loves her like the rest of the world!

The lyrics are very clever! And, they do provide another perspective, sung beautifully.  

Iluka’s blond version of Jolene certainly looks like a potential threat, but, in the end, she may be Dolly’s ally. When not channeling Jolene, Iluka is an Australian singer and songwriter. 

Her YouTube page describes Iluka this way: “A magnetic, charismatic character from childhood, ILUKA relished in the ability to inhabit characters and explore, through her imagination, the worlds present in the minds of the various eccentric characters she created.” 

That sounds just about right!

Experience this emotional cover of “Tears in Heaven” by teen street performer, Allie Sherlock. Hers is a beautiful rendering of a song borne out of grief and loss.

Eric Clapton wrote the ballad after tragically losing his 4-year-old son, Conor, in March 1991. The song was recorded later that year, released in January 1992, and became Eric Clapton’s best-selling single in the United States. And, though the singer, songwriter, and guitarist suffered great pain during that time, he attributes the loss to helping him build a closer relationship with his daughter.

Like Eric Clapton, Allie Sherlock is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Mr. Clapton was born in Surrey, England. Allie is based in Cork, Ireland, and has become widely recognized by performing in Dublin’s streets on the weekends. 

One of the most fun things about exploring a large city is seeing all of the interesting performers and acts in the streets! Discovering Allie on a glorious sunny day is clearly a treat for those watching her perform. She sings beautifully and while many keep moving, we see a large audience that stops and savors her song!

Allie’s young life hasn’t been without trials. Allie left elementary school to be homeschooled after being a victim of bullying. And she lost her mother when she was just 9 years old. So “Tears in Heaven” may have special meaning for her—as it does for so many.

Imagine how challenging it must be to sing and play so well with all of the distractions of a busy city street! Busking is tough, but Allie began doing it when she was just 11 years old! Now 17, Allie is now under contract with Patriot Records. 

With years of performing experience already, Allie has a bright future! Her social media presence is significant. She has 1.9 million followers on Instagram, 26,000 thousand on Twitter, and more than 3.1 followers on Facebook!

A group of talented musicians used only their voices during their stunning performance of a 1950s classic.

Most enjoy getting away, escaping to a place where the temperatures and humidity require wearing shorts, tank tops, sandals and a copious amount of sunscreen. Who doesn’t enjoy a little vacation every now and then? 

Frank Sinatra was a massive star, starring in hit motion pictures and turning out classic songs. Despite all the fame, Frank knew people liked to sneak off and avoid their often mundane, routine lives and grab a little rest and relaxation. His beloved song "Come Fly With Me” from 1958 is about escaping to warm, tropical lands.

Reigning Men, a barbershop chorus, performed the hit made famous by Ol’ Blue Eyes himself. The group of 10 young men put their vocal talents on full display as they sing the iconic song a cappella. 

As the video’s description explains, their performance in the clip took place at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 2023 Midwinter Convention in Florida. 

While they all sound great, never missing a note in the process,  some even mime along to the lyrics in Frank Sinatra’s hit. When they mention floating down to Peru, one of the young men acts as if he’s paddling down the river. Several of them even act as if they are playing the flute. 

The group’s take on Frank Sinatra’s song is unique and enjoyable. You can easily decipher what they are performing and do not feel like they are destroying a classic. The young men are all skilled musicians, using their God-given musical ability to entertain the crowd. 

At the end of their performance, the audience erupts in cheers and applause, letting the guys know how much they enjoyed their rendition of the Frank Sinatra song.

One teenage violin prodigy put on a stunning performance for people out enjoying an evening stroll.

Karolina Protsenko is a 14-year-old with a love, passion and obvious talent for the violin. On her YouTube page, Karolina has hundreds of videos displaying her jaw-dropping expertise on the stringed instrument. Those videos, showing off her immense musical ability, have racked up millions of views.

One of her latest videos shows the young woman covering Diego Verdaguer’s “Volveré, which Karolina’s video labels as “the saddest song in the world.”

Even before she gets into the song, several people stepped up to show appreciation for the young lady’s efforts, placing money in a container near her feet. 

Once she does get into the song, Karolina’s playing is beautiful, moving and simply unbelievable. She exhibits such expertise and confidence during her performance that is staggering and rarely seen in someone of her young age. 

Additionally, and most importantly, the young woman is enjoying herself. She flashes several smiles at the camera while playing the violin. 

At the conclusion of the song, the handful of people that have gathered to take in the awesome performance show their approval by giving her a well-deserved round of applause!

Others who commented on Karolina’s video were also blown away by her expert-level violin playing. 

“This Young Lady is one of the Greatest Talents anywhere. She sounds like someone who has played the Violin for Decades,” one person wrote.

“Karolina is a true virtuoso! Definitely one of the greatest violinists ever! Such beauty, skill and feelings. Unmatched!” a second person added.

Another person commented they have followed Karolina on YouTube for a while and have enjoyed watching her musical transformation.

“I’ve watched this young woman now grow both musically and in age on YouTube. It’s amazing how much better she’s become. I love the music,” a third person posted. 

Psalm 105:2 “Sing to him, sing psalms to him: talk you of all his wondrous works.”

Out of the 1960s came dozens of classic songs sung by legendary artists, including The Righteous Brothers.

The 1960s were the decade marked by the John F. Kennedy administration, a walk on the moon, hippies, free love and the Vietnam War. It was also during the 1960s when the Supremes stated, “You Can’t Hurry Love,” Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones said they could get no “Satisfaction” and a guy named Elvis Presley could not help himself from falling in love with you.

Also, The Righteous Brothers first sang about an “Unchained Melody” and told everyone that “You’ll Never Walk Alone” in the 1960s.

The clip posted to YouTube shows The Righteous Brothers performing their classic, “You’ll Never Walk Alone” on The Ed Sullivan Show on Nov. 7, 1965. The clip begins with the crowd applauding wildly for the talented duo. 

Moments later, the music starts, and the two gentlemen sing their tune about persevering through times.

The short and sweet, but positive song encourages people to keep their heads held high while enduring difficult circumstances. The lyrics also push listeners to remember that they do not go through those situations by themselves. 

The song’s second verse mentions that life will not be fun at times but to always continue moving forward. It adds that even “your dreams will be tossed and blown.” However, the song ends on an optimistic note that through everything, “you’ll never be alone.”

The short clip ends just as it began, with the audience clapping and cheering for The Righteous Brothers.

Life comes with a ton of twists, turns and surprises. For a street performer, one unexpected moment was performing with Jennifer Hudson.

Jennifer Hudson is an accomplished young woman whose talent seems to have no bounds. She is a member of the exclusive EGOT club. She has won Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards. 

However, one day while just enjoying a stroll out on the beach, Jennifer decided to give one street performer what was probably one of the biggest shocks of his life.

Jennifer, in a post on Instagram, writes that she was near the beach when she heard “some beautiful music,” which caused her to “stop and listen.” While listening to the young man playing tunes for those walking along the boardwalk, Jennifer said the musician said something that caused her to act.

“When the artist announced his last song would be Hallelujah, I couldn’t help but join him!” the post reads. “Yal know that’s my favorite song!”

The video in her social media post shows the young man playing the guitar as Jennifer belts out the lyrics to the beloved song. He provides some background vocals, but Jennifer steals the show. 

Even outside in the elements, Jennifer sounds absolutely amazing! It’s pretty shocking how great she sounds, given she was not planning to use her vocal talents.

The short clip ends with the two musicians giving one another a high-five. They then share a loving embrace as those on the beach, taking in the performance, shout and clap in approval.

In the social media post, Jennifer also gives the young man a shoutout.

She writes “I am so inspired by people doing what they love. He is such a talent.” Jennifer then provides the guy’s Instagram handle and tells her social media followers to give him a follow.

What a beautiful moment captured between the two musicians!

Ephesians 5:19 “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”

Just the thought of public speaking or performing for others is enough to cause most to break out in hives or cower in fear, but one young child managed to put on a dazzling performance in front of an audience. 

Emma Sophia, a 6-year-old girl, performed a duet with Keith Hanley, a former winner of The Voice of Ireland. The two sang the classic tune “A Whole New World,” from the beloved Disney animated film “Aladdin.” 

As the clip shows, the two singers are accompanied by a full orchestra for their performance. Both put on a terrific show, providing those in the audience with a real treat for their ears.

Keith, who starts the song singing the first verse, is great. He can, without a doubt, sing. There is no debate when it comes to his musical abilities. 

However, the young lady absolutely steals the entire show. She stands quietly on the sage, a foot or so away from Keith, but when she begins singing, it’s utterly and wholly shocking! When she comes in on the latter half of the first go-through on the song’s chorus, it’s hard to believe that that kind of powerful voice is coming out of someone so young and inexperienced.

Emma more than holds her own singing with someone much older than her, as the video shows. Some may even make the argument that she out-sings Keith. 

In addition to her amazing vocal display, Emma has quite the stage presence. She looks and acts so incredibly confident, calm and sure of herself. Emma appears to be right at home on the stage. 

Emma, who is unbelievably only six years, has the makings of a very bright career in music. God has richly blessed her with a beautiful voice!

Southern Raised bluegrass performs a unique cover of ‘Jolene.’ The family band would make Dolly Parton proud of her 1973 beloved country hit. 

Their unique sound spans several genres, including bluegrass, Christian, classical, and Celtic. It creates a toe-tapping and hauntingly beautiful rendition of ‘Jolene.’ Their performance takes place at an old homestead surrounded by a forest which lends to the haunting plea of their rendition of ‘Jolene.’ This stunning cover has now gone viral, with more than 300,000 views in a week. 

One viewer commented, “Absolutely beautiful. Such a classic. Y'all did Dolly proud I feel.” Those who watched the video couldn’t help but agree: “Brilliant! I love it, and I bet Dolly does too. This has to be the best cover of Jolene ever done.” Other viewers who flocked to their YouTube channel not only liked their performance but also appreciate the unique sound of the band. 

Southern Raised consists of four siblings, Lindsay, Emily, Matt, and Alex, raised in the Ozark mountains. They began playing music as children. Raised on classical and bluegrass music, the siblings play the violin, banjo, bass, and guitar, just to name a few of the instruments they can collectively play. When they perform, the music and their voices are incredible. Who knew Bluegrass and Celtic genres could mix so well?

Brian Hull is passionate about one thing in life, making other people laugh. 

This talented impressionist sings a hilarious rendition of Smash Mouth’s song ‘All Star’ using our favorite animated voices. You don’t want to miss it. Brian is a talented voice actor and you might have actually heard his voice a time or two. 

He starred as the voice of Dracula in the animated film Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, released in 2022. He also starred as Teen Sideburns in Disney’s Tangled the Series and  Murray in Pupstar from Air Bud Entertainment.

So what does Brian do in his spare time? He works on perfecting his voice to bring laughter to his fellow fans. He writes, “I’m most passionate when I can make a whole group of people erupt with laughter. That's my goal for every recording session, stage show, and video, pretty much every day!” 

He added, “I mean, what’s the point of living if you can’t make someone smile?! As you can tell, cartoons and animated films bring me immense joy.”

If you’re needing a little joy today, then watch his hilarious video. Brian manages to sing ‘All Star’ using at least 15 different voices of our beloved animated characters such as Moto Moto from Madagascar, Lord Farquaad from Shrek, Puss from Puss in Boots, and several other characters. He even adds a little impromptu between Po and his father Ping. 

In Ping’s voice, he says, “Po, don’t be so dramatic. You’re up next.” Brian then responds with Po’s exuberant voice, “Oh am I up next to bring some awesomeness to this already epic song.” He nailed Jack Black’s voice and every other character in this hilarious mash-up. 

Can you believe he has over 2 million subscribers? His Youtube channel has reached over 350 million views too! After watching his rendition of ‘All Star’ I can believe it. Thank God for Brian’s ability to make people laugh with his talent. 

One young woman has found an inventive and creative way to cover a beloved classic rock song.

When one thinks about the bagpipes, Lynyrd Skynyrd and their southern rock sound do not immediately come to mind. Instead, bagpipes are more likely associated with plaid kilts, Ireland, Scotland and slow, mellow sounds.

However, one talented musician completely changes the perception of the bagpipes, turning in a stunning performance. Ally The Piper posted a video on YouTube using the mystifying and often puzzling instrument to play Skynyrd’s “Freebird.” And it sounds awesome!

The simple yet effective video shows the young lady standing and holding the instrument. Immediately as the video begins, we hear “Freebird” playing, with the late Ronnie Van Zant belting out the iconic lyrics. 

Then as the song reaches the guitar solo, Ally The Piper takes over and steals the show! She plays right along with the tune, never missing a beat. 

She doesn’t even say a word in the short, minute-long clip but is still thoroughly impressive. This musician has been blessed with some serious musical talent, and by using a bit of creativity, has found a unique way to showcase it.

Others were also blown away by the musician's ability to use the bagpipes to play the classic rock tune.

“I had no clue it could even be played on bagpipes, just, wow! Awesome job!” one person wrote.

“It sounds like it was already part of the original song. That’s so awesome. Keep on rocking it, darling,” someone else added. 

Ally The Piper is a highly accomplished musician. On the About section of her YouTube channel, Ally is described as a “multi-instrumentalist and vocalist” who is best known for her “ability to take the centuries-old instrument and make it relevant and appealing to a modern audience.”

Additionally, the description states that Ally was the winner of the 2012 World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland as a member of a youth pipe band.

Psalm 95:1 “O come, let us sing to the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.”

Johnny Cash is a musical legend, producing several iconic hits during his illustrious career. One group of talented musicians covered likely Johnny’s most popular and beloved song.

In a clip posted to YouTube, Brothers of the Heart performed “Ring of Fire” before a studio audience.

“Ring of Fire” is a song so widely known that most will recognize the song within the first couple of notes. Even those who are not big country music or Johnny Cash fans know the song. 

In other words, “Ring of Fire” is a song that if you’re going to attempt to cover, you better do it well. Anyone listening will be able to, with relative ease, will judge it against the original version. 

Fortunately, the guys do the song more than justice. Everything from their guitar playing to their violins to their harmonizing sounds awesome! The lead singer even sounds a bit like Johnny himself. 

The group’s pitch-perfect harmonies are most apparent during the song’s well-known chorus.

“I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down and the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns”

In addition to just sounding terrific, the guys all appear to be having a ball and enjoying themselves. The studio audience is also having a great time. Several people in the video sing, clap or tap their feet along with the song. 

The Man in Black likely would have given his stamp of approval and been more than pleased with the Brothers of the Heart cover of his beloved country tune.

Others commenting on the YouTube video were thrilled with the guys’ rendition of the Johnny Cash hit.

“I’ve been listening to this on repeat for days and I still can’t get enough. The instrumentation and production are just flawless!” one person posted.

“Omg! Why this song makes me dance and the lead singer he is so good, cant mimic his voice either. So beautiful love it again,” a second person wrote. 

Psalm 98:4 “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.” 

Savor this stunning father-daughter duet to “When You Believe,” first recorded by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston in 1998 and made famous worldwide in the same year through its inclusion in the movie The Prince of Egypt. This version does not disappoint!

By now, you may have seen or heard about Mat and Savanna Shaw. The talented father and daughter began making videos from their home during the COVID-19 pandemic, and they, too, have gained a worldwide following. They now have more than 640,000 YouTube subscribers!

Mat and Savanna sing uplifting songs with the goal “to share hope and spread joy through music.” And they’re doing a stellar job of it! Listen as the two, along with a chorus of beautiful voices,  sing a song written about the work that God assigned to one of the Bible’s greatest heroes!

The video opens as Savanna begins the first verse, which is sung by Miriam, the sister of Moses, in the DreamWorks Animation movie. 

Here are the the first four lines of the song:

Many nights we've prayed
With no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hopeful song
We barely understood

Mat sings the next four lines, and the choir joins in for the chorus. The singers are dressed in sandy, neutral tones as they stand ankle-deep in an expansive body of water. The music is decidedly not neutral—instead, it is a heavenly blending of harmonies worthy of the story behind the words.

As the group walks from the water and onto the beach at 1:25, Mat sings the next verse. This seems to mimic the movie’s depiction of the slaves as they fall into line behind Miriam, Moses, and Zipporah. Though it seems impossible, they are leaving Egypt and slavery. 

Moses, initially reluctant, needed the hope God provided. He needed to believe in miracles. 

By the bridge, the entire group is singing, hands raised as if in praise of the One who provides those miracles. The song is powerful and, indeed, hopeful. Watch what happens at 3:47. The water behind Mat appears to have turned bluer in the distance. It’s an interesting effect, whether intentional or accidental. 

That’s a little bit like hope—turning it all from cloudy to clear. Thank you, Mat and Savanna, for sharing hope with the world!

Following 2023’s Superbowl, few had anything but love for Chris Stapleton’s powerful performance of the “The Star Spangled Banner.” 

Worth watching a few times, the singer-songwriter wrote several hit songs for country, rock, and pop artists before beginning his career as a performer and earning three awards at the 2015 CMA Awards, including New Artist of the Year. Chris Stapleton has continued to earn awards and, most recently, high praise for his moving rendition of our national anthem!

Everything about the Super Bowl is debated! The calls by officials, the performance of individual players, the cleverness of high-dollar advertisements, the flash of the half-time show, and the beauty of the singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner”—they are discussed and dissected well after the victory has been won. Super Bowl 57 is no exception, but most agree that this year’s opening anthem was something special!

Watch the coaches and players as they listen to the words Chris sings. We can’t see the singer’s eyes behind his dark glasses, but we can certainly see others’. Philadelphia Eagles Coach Nick Sirianni is the first face we see after the song begins. It’s impossible to know what thoughts are running through his mind in those moments, but his tears as the song progresses certainly indicate that a sense of deep appreciation must be one!

As Mr. Stapleton sings, the video shows the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70), surrounded by hundreds of military men and women, at NAS North Island in San Diego. Dozens of red-clad, young people hold our flag taut and face-up from the field so that it can be fully viewed. 

A sign language interpreter translates the words, which makes the song nearly as beautiful to watch as to hear. And several other players are shown, including Jason Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. Some mouth the words; others close their eyes in silent prayer. 

Chris Stapleton’s performance feels pure without a lot of fancy, showy tricks that often detract from the beauty of the lyrics. He has a bluesy voice, typically singing slow songs slower than one might expect. But that seems wholly appropriate here. After all, if the half-time show gets around 20 minutes, our national anthem should get 2! And, in case you haven’t heard, there is a whole wagering science behind the length of the singing of the national anthem. Who knew?

At 1:57, Chris lands the note and the word “brave,” and we see fireworks and female fighter pilots in the sky. It is a beautiful song done well! Many people who don’t love football watch the Super Bowl, and it might have at least a little to do with national pride, appreciation of God’s blessings, and a feeling of shared patriotism. Chris Stapleton seemed to have communicated that with his gift to the game!

Today, technology gives us many new and different opportunities. Ultimately, what we decide to do with it is only limited by our imagination and skill level. One man took his musical ability and used technology to create a unique way to praise the Lord!

In a video posted on YouTube, one man, Michael Eldridge, performs every part - bass, lead, tenor and alto – on “Safe Thus Far.” He also does it without using any music, only using the power of his voice to praise, and sing to and about the Lord.

In the song’s first verse, Michael sings about praising God for his protection, not just today but throughout the years. He understands, as he sings, that it is only by the grace of God that he is alive and able to praise Him.

Next, the second verse moves on to the work of God. Being a servant and a child of God does not mean we get to sit back and relax. No, instead, as Michael sings, “opportunities surround us” and “serving You demands our all.”

Finally, serving Christ requires a fair amount of faith and stepping out into the unknown at times. The third verse of the song mentions this. Michael sings that while he may not always see the path forward clearly, he will rely upon the promises of God to restore and see him through whatever situation may arise.

What a wonderful song that encompasses what it means to truly serve and know God! 

On the About section of his YouTube channel, Michael states that he is a “pharmacist with a passion for singing” who has been “blessed by God with the opportunity to share” his love of singing hymns that he grew up singing.

Michael also includes goals he hopes to accomplish with his singing, one of which is “to glorify God with the gifts” the Creator has given him. 

Psalm 5:11 “But let all those that put their trust in you rejoice: let them ever shout for joy because you defend them: let them also that love your name be joyful in you.”

Over the years, Dolly Parton and Dionne Warwick have produced several chart-topping hit songs. This time the two legends joined forces, bringing their considerable talents together for a song about the calm and tranquility that comes from God. 

In a video posted on YouTube, Dionne and Dolly sing “Peace Like A River.” The video begins with Dolly, dressed in all white, singing the opening lines to the first verse. About halfway through the second verse, Dionne joins in and the two musical icons sing a duet.

In the song’s first two verses, the singers are making requests, asking God to use them and their lives in any way He sees fit. They also ask Him to help them be an example, a shining beacon of “things that’s right and good.”

However, the song's chorus is the most powerful, packing the most punch. The two singers mention all the wonderful things God has done, how He has never failed and is “the answer to our questions.”

“He is forgiveness to all confessions
Provider of all needs
And He is hope”

Toward the end of the song, the singers mention the peace that comes from God. They say the “sweet peace” is much like a river, which constantly flows. They also ask the Lord to bathe them in this peace, which Philippians describes, as surpassing all understanding. 

What a wonderful and beautiful song and testimony from these two women. They are using their talents and sizable platforms to spread the message of God. Dolly and Dionne sing about all He is, all He can do and everything He will do.

While humans do have the seemingly endless capacity for hate, anger and division, people also have the ability to surprise in much more positive ways. One young woman left dozens stunned with her amazing musical performance.

A clip posted to YouTube shows Lucy, a 13-year-old blind girl, who played piano in a crowded train station, leaving everyone completely baffled. There were even a few tears shed. 

The clip begins with the young woman being led, by the hand, to the piano. He informs her that prior to reaching the piano, “there is a big step.” He then promptly helps her sit down on the piano bench. The kind older gentleman then guides her hands and places them on the keys, helping her become familiar with her new surroundings.

Seconds later, Lucy is tickling the ivories, playing Chopin’s “Opus 9 Number 1,” the clip points out. Soon after the young woman begins playing, a crowd forms to watch the dazzling display of musical talent before them.

Several people in the crowd, who stand and watch, have taken out their phones in order to capture Lucy’s breathtaking presentation. One woman, so moved by Lucy’s magnificent performance, wipes tears from her eyes. 

Additionally, in the clip, two men take in Lucy’s performance, watching on a monitor in a separate, small room and they cannot believe what they are seeing!

One of the men then articulates his complete and total astonishment.

“How, how does she study?” he asks. “I mean, how, this is incredible.”

After Lucy finishes playing, the crowd erupts in a fit of applause, giving their approval for what they have just witnessed.

The same man, baffled by Lucy, adds that her performance was so perfect that it’s too good to believe it was real.

“Oh my god, this is impossible,” he states. 

He later adds, “I’m speechless. I don’t know what to say.”

What a beautiful and amazing performance by a young woman blessed with God-given musical talent!

The music video starts off with Cody Fry playing the piano and getting frustrated about not being able to write a song. Then he goes to his door and sees a girl standing there. He instantly starts to smile.

As he walks into the hallway of his apartment building to go see the girl again who moved in next door, a symphony of instruments starts to slowly show up around him. Then the pair are dancing on stage in a whimsical scene with a whole orchestra behind them. It is a beautiful sight and the music is wonderful!

The song ‘I Hear a Symphony’ became a viral song recently thanks to TikTok, but the song was actually released in October 2017. Cody Fry shares about the unique experience of seeing his song reach so many people recently.

“Going viral on TikTok feels like getting struck by lightning. My song “I Hear a Symphony” has exploded in recent weeks, and no one is more surprised than me,” Cody shared.

The song made it to #2 on the US Viral 50 chart and top ten on the Global Viral 50, charting in dozens of countries all over the world.

Cody continued: “The song had a special place in my heart, but I thought it wasn’t very commercially viable, which is why I made it literally the last track on my album Flying. It was one of those songs that was just for me; I never expected anyone else would listen to it in any real numbers. Not to mention that the song was released in October 2017! Promoting a brand new album, the last thing I expected was for one of my obscure songs from 3.5 years ago to spontaneously combust. The velocity of TikTok is like nothing I’ve ever experienced in my career. It’s too soon to know how everything will shake out, but I have a feeling that I’ll be able to look back and honestly say that fans on TikTok changed my life.”

Few things go better together than America and football. One of the activities that typically accompanies football games, or really any major sporting event, is the singing of our nation’s national anthem. 

Nearly every Saturday and Sunday in the fall and early winter comes with plenty of teams battling it out on the gridiron. After months and months, two teams – the TCU Horned Frogs and the Georgia Bulldogs – met in the College Football National Championship. 

However, prior to the first play from scrimmage, Pentatonix treated those in the stands and those watching at home to a beautiful rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner. With a massive flag spread across the field, the members of the Grammy-awarding winning group started belting out the lyrics to our national anthem.

Their performance was not only a feast for the ears, but also a delight for the eyes. Members of the group color-coordinated their outfits to go along with the occasion. A couple members of the group sported two entirely red suits and one young man wore white from head to toe. The lone young lady wore a white-colored dress, while the man in the middle wore a bright blue suit jacket and slacks.

Also, as the musicians reached the song’s few lines, fireworks could be seen going off behind them.

Pentatonix gave a wonderful performance by only using the power of their amazing voices!

For fans of the TCU Horned Frogs, Pentatonix’s performance was likely the highlight of the night. The Georgia Bulldogs proceeded to completely destroy TCU 65-7 to win college football’s biggest prize, the national championship.

Within the last decade or so, Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles” and Train’s “Drops of Jupiter” have been popular targets for covers. One young woman decided to try her hand at another classic song by a beloved artist. 

Whitney Houston was a once-in-a-generation talent with a beautiful, unmistakable voice. She produced one chart-topping hit after another. Covering a Whitney song is a tall measure! 

Lucy Thomas, 19, posted a video on YouTube of her singing Whitney’s “The Greatest Love of All.” The video is short, sweet and to the point. It’s just one shot of Lucy standing at the microphone belting out the lyrics to Whitney’s hit from 1986.

“I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside”

Simply put: Lucy knocks it out of the park! She does Whitney’s classic more than justice. While she may not sound exactly like Whitney or reach the high notes she could (very few people can), Lucy’s version is still beyond impressive. 

Whitney would likely approve of Lucy’s beautiful cover. 

Others who commented on Lucy’s video on YouTube showered the vocalist with love and appreciation.

“Whitney is smiling down upon you with pride and joy! Yet another beautiful rendition of a beautiful song by a beautiful lady! Lucy, I never cease to be amazed by your performances! Thankyou!” one person wrote.

At only 19 years old, Lucy has a bright future in store. It will be interesting to see what the young woman does and how far she goes in her musical career!

Jennifer Hudson and John Legend are talented and highly accomplished individuals. Both are members of the exclusive EGOT club (winners of Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards). The two entertainers joined forces to sing a classic and beloved song. 

Jennifer, after already excelling in everything else, now hosts a daytime talk show, The Jennifer Hudson Show. In early February, Jennifer celebrated her show reaching an important milestone: 100 episodes!

For this occasion, Jennifer knew who she wanted to join her. Jennifer explains in the clip on YouTube that she asked “national treasure” and “music superstar” John Legend to help her celebrate.

After a few minutes of friendly banter, the two musicians head over to a piano on stage. John, after a brief explanation, begins playing the Simon and Garfunkel song “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”

John, who sits and plays the piano, kicks the song off and sings the first couple of lines of the song. Jennifer then takes the next two lines. Jennifer and John alternate until they reach the song’s recognizable chorus, which they sing together.

“Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water”

Like anyone who happens to watch the clip of the two musicians, the studio audience loves the impromptu duet. They applaud wildly at the conclusion of their wonderful performance. 

John and Jennifer are two of the most talented singers today. Both have been blessed with beautiful voices.

But the clip doesn’t end there! 

Right before the show and the clip ends, John surprises Jennifer. He wheels out a cake celebrating Jennifer’s 100th episode of her daytime talk show.
