Family Band Delivers Funky Throwback With Wild Cherry Classic

A family band delivered a funky throwback with their rendition of a Wild Cherry classic. The family of talented musicians will have you singing and dancing along with their delightful cover of "Play that Funky Music."  Watch the short but thoroughly enjoyable clip to listen to and see the Clark family perform "Play the Funky Music" by Wild Cherry.

While some may not appreciate or even enjoy musicians playing the songs of others, I've got some bad news for those individuals. Covers are here to stay, and there is likely nothing that can be done about it. That's a practice that is likely as old as music itself, so to think that anything would be changing in the immediate future on that front would be incredibly incorrect.

It's understandable why some people may not like covers. They are not all created equally. Some musicians should not touch some tunes, especially if all they are going to do is ruin them. No one wants that. But when covers are done right, they are super enjoyable, and on very rare occasions, even better than the original.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the Clark family covers Wild Cherry's "Play that Funky Music." I'm not saying their version is better than the original from the 1970s, but theirs is still pretty darn good. You will want to watch and listen to this family demonstrate their jaw-dropping musical talent. The young man's guitar solo about halfway through the clip is awe-inspiring.

Like every other song they cover, this performance is an absolute joy, and they will have you singing right along. How could you not sing along to those memorable, iconic lyrics?

"Yeah, they were dancing and moving
And moving to the grooving
And just when it hit me
Somebody turned around and shouted…play that funky music, white boy"

Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

Classic ‘Beyond the Sea’ Gets Dazzling Piano Instrumental Makeover

A new YouTube video by Montechait gives the classic song “Beyond the Sea” a dazzling piano instrumental makeover. If you love listening to the piano, then you will definitely enjoy this cover. Play the video to hear the beautiful music.

As the YouTuber plays each key to the classic beat, he displays tutorial-like imagery, and each key lights up when he presses it. As fish and sea turtles swim in the ocean-filled background (a very fitting theme, don’t you think?), dashes of light precede each key before he presses it so that viewers can follow along.

If you want to sing along to his keys, some of “Beyond the Sea (La Mer’s)” lyrics are:

Somewhere beyond the sea
Somewhere waiting for me
My lover stands on golden sands
And watches the ships that go sailing

“Beyond the Sea” is the English version of the French song “La Mer,” which was written by Charles Trenet in 1945. The original song was more about the sea, but Jack Lawrence, who wrote the English lyrics, turned it into more of a love song.

It was featured in the Cary Grant movie, “Every Girl Should Be Married,” in 1955. It was also used in the closing credits of Pixar’s 2003 “Finding Nemo” movie and its sequel, “Finding Dory.” Bobby Darin made the song popular in 1959 when his version went to No. 6 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Bobby died in 1973 at the age of 37. His friend, producer Nick Venet, said Bobby “would whistle ‘Beyond The Sea’ on the beach and I'd walk, oh, a quarter of a mile behind him because he'd want me to see how the sound sounded when the wind brought it back. He was still planning on recording a new version of ‘Beyond The Sea’ at Pfeiffer Beach” before he died.

Montechait gives life to the timeless classic. He shows the song is just as lovely on the piano as it is sung. It’s a beautiful, peaceful song that carries notions of love and wonder in every note.

Otis Redding’s ‘Sittin’ On The Dock of the Bay’ Gets Piano Instrumental Cover

Otis Redding’s “Sittin’ On The Dock of the Bay” gets a piano instrumental cover in a new video by Montechair. If you’re a piano fan, this is the video to watch. Play the video to hear the wonderful cover.

As the YouTuber plays each key to the lovely and lively song, he displays tutorial-like imagery, and each key lights up when he presses it. Dashes of light precede each key before he presses it so that viewers can follow along.

If you want to sing along to the keys, some of the lyrics are:

So I'm just gonna sit on the dock of the bay
Watching the tide roll away
I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay
Wastin' time

Otis wrote the song in June of 1967 from pure experience when he rented a houseboat in Sausalito. It was a peaceful and relaxing time with his manager, “Speedo” Sims. He just rocked on the boat and played his guitar.

“We must have been out there three or four days before I could get any concept as to where he was going with the song,” said Speedo. “I just didn’t understand it. And lyrically, it sounded weird. He was changing with the times. And I was looking at the times change.”

After five months, Otis brought the song to Sax studios. He finished the song, adding a bridge with guitarist Steve Cropper. They had it done in just 30 minutes.

“When I wrote with Otis, I always tried to make the lyric about him and his life,” Cropper said. “Songs like ‘Mr. Pitiful,’ ‘Sad Song’—those are all about him. ‘Dock of the Bay’ was, too. Otis trusted me. I always seemed to do the things he liked.”

And now, decades later, Montechair brings Otis’ peaceful and soulful spirit to life—one key at a time.

Beautiful Piano Instrumental of ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’

Prepare to watch a mastermind pianist. This video shows a skilled musician bringing new life, flair, and pep to a country classic. Check out this beautiful piano instrumental of ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads.’

At the start of the video, we see the sheet music above the pianist’s hands. As he plays the keys, they light up as a tutorial for anyone desiring to learn how to play. The tone painting of this music is wonderful. As you listen to the instrumental version, picture some of your favorite memories driving on country roads to visit loved ones. Take time to reflect on the beautiful and slow moments in life that are so often taken for granted.

As the bridge approaches, something spectacular takes place. The man plays the notes on the piano and the top half of the video (which was previously sheet music) becomes a dark black background full of notes of orange, pink, and purple. As the moving colors hit his hands, he plays the keys in the correct places. It reminds us of those old fun games like Guitar Hero, where you want to match the color with the correct note on the keys. This pianist hits every note flawlessly.

The chorus sings out:

Country Roads, take me home, to the place, I belong,
West Virginia, mountain mama, take me home, country roads.

Perhaps you are missing your hometown today? Or maybe you are missing a loved one from where you are from? Wherever life takes us, may this song remind us of the blessings in our relationships and in the places where we grew up. May we not long for the past but learn from it and enjoy the gift that God gives us in the journey. Ultimately, may this song remind us that heaven is our home.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?” John 14:1-3

‘Hit the Road Jack’ Shines in Brilliant Piano Instrumental Cover

"Hit the Road Jack" shines in a brilliant piano instrumental cover. This is a beautiful rendition of the beloved Ray Charles classic. Watch the short but stunning and jaw-dropping clip to hear the instrumental cover of "Hit the Road Jack."

Over the years, many songs have received the cover treatment. As time continues to move along, that number will only increase, as covers are a time-honored tradition that is not going anywhere anytime soon. Unfortunately, for anyone who does not enjoy covers, they are here to stay.

As shows like American Idol, The Voice and America's Got Talent have shown, any and every song can be covered over and over again. However, not every song can get an instrumental cover. For a cover to work, people have to be familiar with the original version, and that is even more so when the lyrics are entirely removed from the cover, which is why only true classics will ever get an instrumental cover.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a pianist performs the Ray Charles tune "Hit the Road Jack.” It's a wholly mesmerizing and captivating rendition. You're simply unable to take your eyes off the screen as the hands dance back and forth along the keys. Yes, the musician's sound is spot-on and thoroughly enjoyable. Still, your eyes are immediately drawn to the graphics falling toward the keys, which very much resemble a game of Tetris. You are closely watching the graphics, wondering if the hands will land on the right keys before the graphics disappear off the screen.

Also, the fact that none of the tune's memorable and iconic lyrics are sung in this cover is not a problem. Since the song is so beloved and near and dear to the hearts of many, as the musician plays the music, you hear all the lyrics in your head and are able to follow along easily.

Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

ABBA’s ‘Mamma Mia’ Sparkles in Dazzling Piano Instrumental Cover

ABBA’s “Mamma Mia” sparkles in this dazzling piano instrumental cover. This is one cover of the classic, beloved tune that you’ll want to listen to repeatedly. Watch the short but thoroughly enjoyable clip to listen to the lovely instrumental cover of “Mamma Mia.”

Covers, a time-honored tradition, are here to stay. Every musician and band performs them at one time or another. One could argue that covers have gotten a resurgence in popularity because of how many are posted on YouTube every day, and that nearly every person who sings on shows like American Idol, The Voice and America’s Got Talent performs a cover.

Some people may not enjoy covers because they rarely live up to the original. I agree that covers seem lazy and are nothing more than carbon copies of the original, which, 95 percent of the time, is infinitely better. So, if you’re going to do a cover, make it good, or at least different from the original version in some discernible way. That is precisely what one person did when they covered a beloved song from the 1970s.

In the YouTube video, the musician plays an instrumental version of “Mamma Mia” on the piano, which is absolutely fantastic. Of course, none of those memorable, catchy lyrics are sung because it is an instrumental, but that does not take away from this performance. As you listen to and watch the video, you’ll have the words going through your head as the hands dance along the keys, creating the iconic tune.

While the sound is excellent and the real draw of this video, there is also an interesting visual aspect present. While listening, you’ll see the falling graphics as they descend toward the keys, closely watching to see if the musician hits the proper key in time.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Pharrell’s ‘Happy’ Gets Family Band Cover

Pharrell’s ‘Happy’ gets a family band cover, and it sounds almost better than the original song. The Martin Family Circus, also known as Rockland Road, are talented professionals who really know how to keep a beat. Watch the video to hear the fun performance.

A young girl, one of the youngest Martins in the six-member band, takes the mic as she leads her family in song in a room full of people. As she sings, her family harmonizes at different intervals. Her brother and dad play acoustic guitars, and her mom offers some well-timed claps to the lively beat.

It’s such a fun song to see a family sing together; the whole family does an astounding job. They are very practiced and know how to use each of their skills to sound great together. They couldn’t have picked a more lively or better-suited song for them. Some of the lyrics of Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” are:

Sunshine she's here, you can take a break
I'm a hot air balloon that could go to space
With the air, like I don't care baby by the way
Because I'm happy (happy)

If you’ve ever seen this song covered, you’ll know that it takes a lot of skill. This may easily be the best cover of this song that you’ll ever see. Everyone, including the young children in the group, knows their parts down to a T. Each of their talents comes together to make a truly impressive piece of music, and they seem to enjoy performing together. When they finished their song, many people whooped and hollered, with lots of clapping.

The song they chose is an excellent reminder that happiness is a choice. Sometimes it doesn’t matter if other people or things try to burst your bubble—you can choose to stay afloat and not let anything get you down. If you’ve got that happy feeling, stick with it.

Beatles’ ‘Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da’ Gets Smooth Saxophone Makeover

The Beatles’ ‘Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da’ gets a smooth saxophone makeover by a talented street performer. You’ll instantly be able to recognize this unique song played by the young Avelina Kushnir. Watch the video to hear the joyous tune.

As the 17-year-old plays, many gather around to watch and video her performance—and it’s easy to see why. It’s rare to see a live sax player and even rarer to hear any Beatles song covered on the sax, especially their song, “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da.” The carefree nonsense song is known for its peppy beat with drums, bongos, maracas, piano, and guitar. Even if you’re an avid Beatles fan, you’ve probably never heard this song on the sax.

Avelina gives the song a whole new life with her saxophone. The tune sounds deeper, simpler, lovelier, and more melodic when she performs it. It captures the song’s playful spirit while adding a jazzy and soulful change that brings a new kind of joy. She’s turned a bustling street into a magic moment. The song feels like a wonderful celebration of youth, love, and joy.

It’s clear that Avelina clearly enjoys her work as she plays, sways, and dances with her sax. At just 17, she is very confident. She commands her instrument with expertise and ease, making it look terribly easy, even though it must have been very hard to master. When she stops playing, many around her clap with smiles and joy on their faces.

This young woman’s performance is something that you will carry with you throughout the day. After you see it, you won’t be able to get this happy song out of your head.

Hearing this is a sweet reminder to slow down and enjoy a happy beat. Music has the power to transform any moment into something very special and unforgettable.

Talented Kids Stun with Cover of Billy Joel’s ‘My Life’

Check out these young musicians stun with their cover of Billy Joel’s ‘My Life.’ Their version of this song is terrific, and they sound so amazing playing together. What a talented bunch of kids!

‘Got a call from an old friend we'd used to be real close
Said he couldn't go on the American way
Closed the shop, sold the house, bought a ticket to the west coast
Now he gives them a stand-up routine in L.A.’

The young musicians in this video are part of the group called The Graystones. All of their members are 11 or 12 years old. They sound incredible together, and it is clear to see their passion for music.

“Billy Joel remains one of the world's greatest song writers and we have admired him since we were young kids. We have already done 2 other Billy Joel songs and this is the 3rd that we learned recently,” shares The Graystones in the caption of their YouTube video.

The group then went on to share some information about the sound and process of their music video. “We started the cameras rolling last Monday late afternoon and recorded several passes. We all agreed that the 3rd pass we did was the best, and this is the version you're seeing and hearing here. To this, we added background vocals, a keyboard part, and hand claps. You can see all those inserted. We do these songs to honor the artists that brought these to the world. We try our very best to get as close as we can to the original masterpieces. This is why we added those additional sounds mentioned. We hope you enjoy!”

It is wonderful to witness the talent and dedication of these kids, and it is clear why The Graystones have garnered a large fan base online.

On their YouTube page, The Graystones have shared that they love 70s and 80s music, but also enjoy covering current songs as well. “We go to school, do sports, climb trees, and run around. But music is what we're most passionate about and we work really hard and spend a lot of time every week learning songs and getting better as musicians,” the band shares.

We hope you enjoyed watching this fun cover of ‘My Life’ today!

Band Delivers Stunning Covers of Frankie Valli Hits

Cover band September In The Park delivers stunning covers of Frankie Valli hits ‘Oh, What a Night’ and ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.’ With backup singers and dancers, a trombone, sax, grand piano, and more, the atmosphere is right for a perfect night of music. Watch the clip to enjoy the sweet sounds.

In the video posted on YouTube, the 14-member band stands in a warmly lit room, kicking off the night with the high-energy Frankie Valli song, ‘Oh, What a Night.’ The band dances and sways as they perform with smiles on their faces. After that quick beat, the tempo slows to fade into the next song, ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.’

Two lead singers, a man and a woman, step up to sing the romantic song, which is one of Valli’s greatest hits. It’s a remarkable song, not only because it has endearing lyrics, but because it starts out almost like a slow dance song before launching into a bright vibrato. Some of the lyrics are:

… You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you
You'd be like Heaven to touch
I wanna hold you so much

Each member of the band shows great talent as they perform, whether with their voice or instrument. Despite their size, it’s clear they are very practiced and in sync with one another.

‘Oh, What a Night' is also a romantic song about a memorable night between lovers. These songs are great, sweet reminders of what it’s like to share special moments with the one you love and admire. If you’ve ever been in love, this performance will have you recalling a moment when you’ve seen your loved one from a distance and felt that urge to be near them. It’s a joyful feeling!

“You are all beautiful, my love. There is no spot in you.” Song of Solomon 4:7

1,000 Musicians Unite for Epic Performance of ‘Sweet Caroline’

One thousand musicians united for an epic performance of "Sweet Caroline." Neil Diamond's beloved classic got quite the cover with this outstanding and stunning rendition. Watch the short but awe-inspiring clip to see and hear the musicians perform a tune near and dear to the hearts of many, Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline."

We live in a very polarized and argumentative society, primarily due to social media and 24-hour news channels, which do nothing but keep people angry. It can often feel like reaching an agreement on even the smallest, most meaningless and insignificant topic or subject is impossible. When someone gives their opinion, someone else will inevitably respond with much anger and vitriol as they loudly and aggressively point out how they are completely and utterly wrong.

While there is much hate and anger in modern society, music has the ability to bring people together and make them forget about their petty differences, even if it is for only a short time. Some songs instantly put you in a good mood, no matter what you were experiencing or going through only minutes before. A clip posted on social media captures a massive group of musicians performing one of those feel-good tunes, "Sweet Caroline."

In the video, 1,000 musicians have gathered to play "Sweet Caroline" in a stadium in Frankfurt, Germany. There are guitarists, saxophonists, trumpeters, drummers and vocalists to belt out the iconic and memorable lyrics. Oh, and there are also, for whatever reason, a couple of gentlemen doing kicks, flips and other gymnastics-type moves during the performance.

It's an extraordinary and downright joyous rendition of a song everyone knows and loves. Seconds into their performance, you'll likely find yourself singing along, if not the verses, the simple but catchy and memorable chorus.

"Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would"

How can you not sing those lines every time the song is played?

Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Youthful Talent Shines in Mesmerizing Cover of Fleetwood Mac Classic

Check out these young musicians shine in their performance of ‘Dreams’ by Fleetwood Mac. Their cover of this popular song is spectacular. What a talented bunch!

‘Now here you go again, you say you want your freedom
Well, who am I to keep you down?
It's only right that you should play the way you feel it
But listen carefully to the sound of your loneliness’

The young musicians in this video are part of the group The Graystones. All of their members are 11 or 12 years old. They sound incredible together, and it is clear to see their passion for music.

“We've done this song a few times in the past year and a half. We're getting better!” says The Graystones in the caption of their YouTube video. “So thank you for coming along this journey with us. We hope you enjoy it!”

Many people online were thrilled to see these young kids playing and were blown away by their talent.

“They play like they have been on tour for years,” writes one person on YouTube. “Bass dude is chill as they come, and the singer girls are very comfortable in their abilities. Keyboard is on his funk, drummer boy is on time…rock on School of Rock!”

“I'm a guitarist, have been in many bands and musical projects over the past few decades and all I can say is: wow! I want to see these ‘kids’ perform live in concert sometime soon. Totally brilliant,” another person comments online.

The Graystones have shared on their YouTube page that they love 70s and 80s music, but they also enjoy covering current songs. “We go to school, do sports, climb trees, and run around. But music is what we're most passionate about and we work really hard and spend a lot of time every week learning songs and getting better as musicians,” the band shares.

We hope you enjoyed this excellent cover of ‘Dreams’ from The Graystones.

Woman’s Fingerstyle Guitar ‘Here Comes the Sun’ Cover Is Beautiful

This woman’s fingerstyle guitar ‘Here Comes the Sun’ cover is so beautiful, you have to hear it for yourself. You don’t need a voice to make people feel something. Just ask Gabriella Quevedo, a Swedish fingerstyle guitarist whose music will stop you in your tracks and wrap itself around your heart.

One of her most popular videos is a stunning cover of The Beatles' “Here Comes The Sun.” She doesn’t sing it. She doesn’t need to. With nothing but her acoustic guitar, Gabriella manages to make the instrument sing for her. And the result? It’s like the song is being born all over again—hopeful, warm, healing.

Seriously, you can almost hear the lyrics as she plays. It’s that good.

The way she plucks each string feels intentional, almost tender, like she knows you’ve had a hard week and wants to remind you that the sun really is coming back. Somehow, her fingertips carry all the emotion of the song—the ache, the relief, the joy of a new season breaking through.

And once you hear it, you’ll want to listen again. And again.

Gabriella grew up in Kinna, Sweden, in a music-loving family. Her dad, originally from Argentina, played guitar too and taught her the basics when she was young. By the time she was 12, Gabriella had fallen in love with fingerstyle guitar, where melody, chords, and rhythm are all played at once. She taught herself by watching videos online.

Eventually, she started uploading her own covers to YouTube. Her unique sound and song choices quickly drew a following, and today? Gabriella has over 1.6 million subscribers and nearly 300 million views on her channel.

She brings the soul to each note she strums. She turns a guitar into a voice—and that voice has something gentle and true to say: you’re going to be okay.

So if you’re looking for a moment of peace today, something pure and joy-giving in a world that often feels too heavy, go listen to Gabriella's cover. Let it fill your room. Let it remind you that healing can be quiet. And that sometimes, the most beautiful songs are the ones where the guitar does all the talking.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5

5-Year-Old Plays Piano with Stunning Precision and Passion

A 5-year-old plays piano with stunning precision and passion. The little guy shows he has truly been gifted with eye-popping musical talent beyond his young age. Watch the short but awe-inspiring clip to hear and see this young man play the piano with the skill of someone much older than him.

Musicians are a talented and skilled group of people; there is no debate about that. Routinely, musicians will leave you completely and utterly blown away by their masterful performance with this or that instrument. Or maybe you’ll be near tears following a stunningly beautiful duet or solo rendition of a beloved song.

To play that beautifully and perform that well requires an incredible amount of intense, highly focused practice, hard work and determination. Not many people can pick up an instrument and play as if they’ve been doing so for years. But what about the people who can do that? A clip posted on YouTube tells of a young man, a 5-year-old, who is, without a doubt, a piano prodigy.

Alec Khajadourian appears to have a natural gift and talent for the piano. He seems to have been immediately drawn to the instrument. The clip shows the now-5-year-old as a baby standing at the piano, pounding on the keys, getting a feel for the instrument. Even at that young age, he was evidently interested in the piano, and that interest has only grown over the years.

The video explains that Alec is already an award-winning pianist at just 5 years old and is set to play at Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, California.

Alec, his mother explains, has perfect pitch and can easily replicate a note.

“Whatever note he hears, he can identify perfectly,” Alec’s mother said. “He can sing it or play it.”

This young man is thoroughly impressive, and seeing what he can accomplish as he grows and develops musically will be exciting.

Band Rocks the AGT Stage With Bold Take on Adele’s ‘Set Fire to the Rain’

Check out this talented band rock the stage at ‘America’s Got Talent’ with their bold take on Adele’s ‘Set Fire to the Rain.’ The group is called Girish and the Chronicles, and they brought the audience to their feet with this rock and roll cover. You will be blown away by this performance!

‘I let it fall, my heart
And as it fell, you rose to claim it
It was dark, and I was over
Until you kissed my lips and you saved me’

What a fantastic audition, one that this band has been working towards for many years.

“We have been dreaming of performing in America ever since we got introduced to rock and roll,” shares Girish and the Chronicles. “This is the biggest opportunity of our lives. There’s a million dollars at stake, so this has to go well.”

Girish and the Chronicles start off with a bang, and the audience is absolutely stunned by the music and energy that the band brings to the stage. The audience immediately stands to their feet and starts clapping and dancing along to the music.

What an incredible performance of ‘Set Fire to the Rain,’ and one that greatly impressed the judges.

“I love that! You guys look amazing. You sound amazing,” Sofia Vergara says. “I mean the whole audition was on point.

“I don’t know what it is about you, but I think you’re one of my favorite acts so far this season,” says Mel B.

“I do like this kind of rock,” Howie Mandel shares. “You come from the other side of the globe which is so traditionally American. It was so beautiful.”

And Simon shares his final thoughts with the band after their amazing audition. “You can’t fake the reaction behind us. What we just felt behind us from the audience was real. I could feel it. They liked you, we liked you. And your voice is really, really good by the way.”

After four yeses from the judges, Girish and the Chronicles are on their way to the next round of AGT!

Young Talent Shines Bright in Outstanding ‘Stand By Me’ Guitar Performance

Check out this bright young talent as he performs ‘Stand by Me’ on guitar. Leonardo Patrick, an 8-year-old virtuoso from Manchester, England, strums in the streets, and his guitar gifts will knock your socks off!

Leonardo is joined by his brother, who looks to be younger than he. Brother doesn’t play or sing, but he stands—sorta—and supports his brother throughout the song. Leonardo doesn’t appear to lack confidence, but having his brother next to him totally makes sense for this tune!

The two wear t-shirts, matching caps and sneakers, and jeans. Twinzz, by the way, is a UK-based fashion brand specializing in headwear, premium apparel, and activewear. They are adorable; however, the way they present themselves to the masses on a busy day in a big city is not the real story!

Here, Leonardo plays ‘Stand by Me’, a 1961 hit sung by Ben E. King. The perennial favorite may very well have been originally recorded before either of Leonardo’s parents (or even his grandparents) were born! He has performed ‘Layla’ by Eric Clapton, ‘Toto’ by Africa, ‘Have You Ever Seen the Rain’ by Creedence Clearwater Revival, ‘I Shot the Sheriff’ by Bob Marley, and ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ by Guns ‘N Roses, among many others. Sweet!

Leonardo’s fans love hearing the young boy play classics from multiple decades; there are 243,000 of those fans subscribing to his YouTube channel, which, of course, is managed by his parents. This number is particularly impressive when you consider that he only began uploading videos in May, 2024

Often adding his own touches and twists to the songs he plays, Leonardo adds to this one about 30 seconds of Sting’s ‘Every Breath You Take,’ starting at 1:00. This kid is amazing! Words like ‘prodigy’and ‘superhuman talent’ and ‘miraculous fingers’ have been used to describe Leonardo’s gifts.

Since hashtags are important, notice #fibonacci.  At one time, Leonardo went by @leonardo_fibonaccipatrick2226 on Instagram. This account no longer exists, and Leonardo’s current instragram just includes his first and last names. But one wonders… Is Fibonacci Leonardo’s middle name or is it a reference to the Fibonacci Sequence, uncovered by Leonardo Bonacci? Leonardo Bonacci, nicknamed ‘Fibonacci’ identified an almost-magical numerical pattern that has sometimes been applied to music.

Astute Commenter @ScottT-x1s wrote, ‘You sneaked back out on the street without warning and knocked this right out of the park with Feeling, Fantastic Finger work, and Fibonacci...standing by you. Excellent Leonardo on so many levels. Loved that arrangement, original, I'm sure.’

Magical or miraculous, Leonardo Patrick has been blessed with an uncommon talent. We look forward to hearing much more from this young man!

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10

Classic Rock Meets Acoustic Brilliance in 40 Fingers’ ‘Walk This Way’ Cover

You know that feeling when you hear the first few notes of a song you grew up with—and suddenly, you're twenty-five again? That’s what happens when classic rock meets acoustic brilliance in 40 Fingers, plays  ‘Walk This Way’ cover by Aerosmith.

It’s not a concert. It’s not a stage. There are no lasers. No smoke machines. No Steven Tyler strutting in leather pants. It’s just four guys. Four guitars. One dimly lit corner of a room. And somehow… it’s electric.

When the men of 40 Fingers pick up their guitars and strum the first few notes, you smile because it instantly takes you back to the days of freedom, fun, and a walk down memory lane. Your ears perk up. You lean a little closer to the screen, because something in your bones remembers.

This wasn’t just a song—it was your era.
Backseat rides with the windows down. Cassette tapes and even old record players were spinning in wood-paneled bedrooms. Hair a little bigger, dreams a little wilder.

And now here it is again, but softer. More refined. Like the tune aged right alongside you and came back with a gentler voice—but the same fire in its soul.

Their fingers move fast, dancing over frets like they’re telling secrets. You can’t help but tap your foot. You laugh when you realize—you’re mouthing the chorus, even though no one’s singing.

And they invite you in like an old friend.
This isn’t a performance—it’s a jam session you’ve been pulled into. A private little concert with the best kind of band: the kind that knows how to honor the past without making it feel old.

These four guitarists don’t just play the music. They remember it—with their hands. They strum it with a fun that says, We loved it, too.

And somehow, in that quiet room with no sunshine and no flash, you feel more alive than you have all day.

Because music like this doesn’t age.
It echoes.
It carries us back.
It makes the years melt like wax.

So go ahead—turn it up.
Let it find you on a quiet afternoon. Let it take you back to who you were before all the bills, adult responsibilities and backaches became a common part of your day.

And if your grandkids walk in while you’re bobbing your head or tapping your knee? Just grin and say, “Hey, come listen—this is how we used to walk this way.”

“He has put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.”  Psalm 40:3

Family Band’s Cover of ‘Garden Party’ Hits All the Right Notes

Check out this talented family band’s cover of the song ‘Garden Party’ by Ricky Nelson. The family band is called Colt Clark and the Quarantine Kids, and they can really rock out! This is one awesome rendition that will leave you smiling.

‘I went to a garden party to reminisce with my old friends
A chance to share old memories and play our songs again
When I got to the garden party, they all knew my name
But no one recognized me, I didn't look the same’

What a great cover! And all of the family members look like they are really enjoying themselves while they play together.

The Clark family is made up of Colt, a professional musician, Aubree, a photographer, and their three children. They homeschool their two sons and daughter, and part of what they do together is learn to play a new song every day. They decided to record some of their performances and share them online, and we are so happy that they did. Because this family band is just so fun to watch!

“Tonight's song is a little bit different from what we usually play, but sometimes different is good!” reads the caption of their YouTube video. “Colt told us the story behind this song and its meaning and now the words make more sense. I always thought it was just a random list of people at an actual garden party. Apparently, ‘garden party’ is about the 1971 concert at Madison Square Garden when Ricky Nelson wasn't treated very kindly by the audience. Hope you enjoy our version.”

Colt Clark and the Quarantine Kids have many fans online, and hundreds of people have shared about how much they love this cover of ‘Garden Party.’

“If this doesn’t touch you then check your pulse! This is such a great cover of a Ricky Nelson song!” comments one person online after watching the music video. “Such an amazing group of musicians who have never done a bad song! Keep the music coming! I truly love and appreciate it!”

Toto’s ‘Africa’ Gets a Stunning Makeover in This Trio’s Instrumental Cover

You’ve never heard Africa like this before. They get a stunning makeover in this trio’s instrumental cover. No lyrics. No words. Just the soul-deep hum of strings stretched across time and desert air—and somehow, it’s enough to make your heart sing.

Simply Three, the genre-defying trio made up of violin, cello, and bass, takes Toto’s iconic anthem and turns it into something entirely their own—bold and sweet, with every note a sounding like a serenaded prayer across the dusty wild. The video opens with sweeping drone shots of a dusky, dry desert landscape, and it instantly takes me back to the red clay earth of Arizona, where I grew up. Sand and ruddy dirt, tall saguaros lifting arms to the sky like a chorus worshiping in stillness.

And then the strings begin.

No voices needed, because the guys playing these instruments speak. The bass thrums like a heartbeat. The cello dances and then soars. And the violin? It feels like sunlight spilling across a silent chapel—enough to make a bride pause and waltz barefoot down the aisle with joy. But if you listen to it long enough, you might feel like me; you might not know why you're crying, but you are.

Formed in 2010, Simply Three has built a kingdom of beauty with just strings and grit. They’ve covered everything from Coldplay to Adele, stacking up over 330 million views on YouTube and being applauded by the likes of OneRepublic and Janelle Monáe. Their music breathes life into familiar melodies, reminding us that sometimes, less really is more. No flashy gimmicks. No vocals. Forget the smoke, the lights, and everything else. They make it spectacularly simple. Just three artists, classically trained but wild with imagination, carrying a song like Africa into something deeper.

And maybe that’s what we all need right now. Something familiar—but completely reimagined. A way back to joy. A holy hush that says, you’re still allowed to dance, even here. So go ahead. Listen again. Maybe even waltz a little outside with your toes in the dirt. Let the desert wind and these beautiful strings remind you that wonder isn’t lost. It’s just been waiting—right here, in the music.

“The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.” Isaiah 35:1-2
