When God Calls You to Go: A Young Missionary's Journey to Peru

What happens when God calls you to leave everything familiar behind and step into a future you can't fully see?

On this episode of Sit on That Stump and Muddy Bottom, host Vikki Parker welcomes Caitlin Dardar, a young missionary preparing to serve in Peru with Pro-Life Global. Caitlin shares her inspiring journey of faith, obedience, and discovering God's purpose for her life.

Raised in a Christian ministry family, Caitlin developed a passion for sharing the Gospel and recognizing the value of every human life. From serving in homeless shelters across America to ministering to orphans in China, her journey eventually led her to Peru, where God opened unexpected doors for both ministry and marriage.

Now, Caitlin is preparing to help establish student-led pro-life organizations in Peru, equipping young people to advocate for life, support women facing unexpected pregnancies, and share the hope of Jesus Christ.

In this heartfelt conversation, Vikki and Caitlin discuss:

• Recognizing God's calling even when the future is uncertain.

• Finding the courage to leave your comfort zone and follow His direction.

• How Caitlin's childhood and missionary experiences shaped her faith.

• The unexpected journey that led her to Peru and introduced her to her husband.

• The mission of Pro-Life Global and its work with students around the world.

• Raising a new generation of compassionate Christian leaders.

• Offering grace, forgiveness, and hope to women who have experienced abortion.

• Trusting God's provision when answering a call to ministry.

Caitlin also shares a deeply personal testimony from her family's history, demonstrating how God can bring purpose and redemption out of unexpected circumstances.

Throughout the conversation, Vikki reminds listeners that God has placed a purpose inside every one of us. Sometimes discovering that purpose requires stepping beyond what feels comfortable and trusting Him with what comes next.

Whether God is calling you to serve across the world or right in your own community, this episode will encourage you to recognize the doors He opens and have the faith to walk through them.

Scriptures discussed: Proverbs 3:5–6, Jeremiah 1:5, Hebrews 11:1, Ephesians 4:15, Matthew 28:19, and Revelation 3:8.
