Sanaz still visits Jojo every day. She shows up, and Jojo still runs. They take car rides together—just a woman and her rooster, driving through town like it’s the most normal thing in the world. “He is everything to me, and I’m like a mom to him,” Sanaz says. “I raised him with so much love, and I think this is why Jojo is like this.”

The woman is lying in bed as her black lab climbs into her bed behind her. But the animal does not arrive empty-handed. Held securely in its mouth, the dog carries what is most likely its food bowl. Once the dog has made its way into the woman’s bed, the dog throws its head back and then, as it comes forward, releases the bowl, letting it hit her in the head.

The animal wants her to get up out of bed and likely wants to be fed. The message was received loudly and clearly; you would not have to tell or hit me twice.

Despite the boxer’s hilarious insistence on the man leaving, the dog is told that it will not be getting its wish.
