Do you struggle to hear God's voice when you don't know what comes next?

A Back-to-School Prayer for Your Child's Faith and Protection | Your Daily Prayer

As a new school year begins, parents prepare backpacks, school supplies, schedules, and routines. But how do we prepare our children's hearts?

In today's Your Daily Prayer, Heidi Vegh reflects on Daniel 1 and the courage Daniel demonstrated while living in a culture different from the one in which he was raised.

Like Daniel, our children will encounter new ideas, friendships, expectations, and challenges as they grow.

This prayer asks God to protect our children, strengthen their character, guide their friendships, and give them courage to live faithfully even when their parents aren't nearby.

Whether your child is starting kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, or high school, join us in praying for a school year filled with wisdom, kindness, discernment, and spiritual growth.

A Prayer When You Feel Forgotten in a Waiting Season | Your Daily Prayer

Have you ever wondered whether God has forgotten you?

Maybe you've prayed for healing, reconciliation, a child, a relationship, or a change in circumstances, but the answer still hasn't come.

In today's Your Daily Prayer, Alisha Headley shares her deeply personal journey through infertility, pregnancy loss, and years of waiting.

Through Isaiah 49:15–16, she reflects on God's promise that His people are not forgotten, even when their circumstances make them feel overlooked.

This devotional offers encouragement for anyone struggling with unanswered prayers, comparison, grief, or the fear that God is blessing everyone else.

Your waiting may not be over. But God's love for you has not disappeared.

Hope Creek Ranch

HOPE CREEK RANCH LOGLINE At a remote Montana correctional ranch where incarcerated women rehabilitate through horse training, six hardened and broken bunkmates find their world upended when a devoutly Christian new arrival — serving time for the drunk-driving death of her best friend — arrives carrying nothing but a Bible, a violin, and an unshakable faith that slowly convicts, comforts, and transforms everyone in her path. SYNOPSIS Nestled in the shadow of Glacier National Park, Hope Creek Ranch is unlike any other correctional facility — fifty incarcerated women rebuild their lives not through punishment, but through the patient, demanding work of caring for horses: feeding, grooming, mucking stalls, shoeing, and riding animals as broken and distrustful as they are. Under the watch of Warden Caroline Hutchins and her rotating crew of guards-turned-ranch-hands, the camp runs on an unspoken belief that healing an animal and healing a person aren't so different — both require patience, trust, and someone willing to stay. The series centers on Bunkhouse Seven, home to six women serving vastly different sentences for vastly different crimes: Dess, the steady, horse-whispering matriarch doing time for defending herself against an abusive husband; Tanya, a sharp-tongued con artist who trusts no one and performs constantly; Frankie, volatile and fiercely loyal, carrying guilt she won't name; Keisha, the quick-witted comic relief masking deep abandonment wounds; Rosa, a teenager too innocent and easily led, still learning to find her own voice; and Birdie, fragile and newly sober, finding unexpected peace in the company of the horses. Their fragile equilibrium shifts when Danica Sokol — a 24-year-old former beauty queen serving three years for the vehicular homicide of her lifelong best friend — arrives as Bunkhouse Seven's seventh bunkmate. Beautiful, broken, and unflinchingly honest about her own guilt, Danica carries an open, unapologetic relationship with Jesus, a Bible she knows by heart, and a gift for music that catches every woman in the cabin off guard. She doesn't preach from a place of superiority — she preaches from the wreckage of her own worst day. Her presence becomes a mirror, forcing each woman in Bunkhouse Seven to confront the parts of themselves they've buried under bravado, humor, or silence. Episode by episode, Hope Creek Ranch blends comedy and drama in equal measure — the chaos of six (then seven) women fighting over one bathroom, the unexpected tenderness of a wild filly accepting a human hand, the dark humor that survives even in captivity — alongside genuine wrestling with guilt, redemption, grief, and grace. Through the daily rhythms of barn work, mealtime banter, and late-night bunkhouse confessions, the series explores whether people who have done terrible things can still be loved, still be changed, and still find hope — both from each other, and from something greater than themselves. At its heart, Hope Creek Ranch is a story about what it means to be green broke — not broken beyond repair, but gentled, slowly, by someone patient enough to wait for trust to come.

Today Gets A Visit from Hoda Kotb's Daughter And Her First Grade Class

The Today Show gets a visit from Hoda Kotb's daughter and her first-grade class, and it is the cutest episode we’ve ever seen. The first grader and her whole class got to wave pom-poms and wear Hoda & Jenna T-shirts. Watch the video to see how special it is.

Hoda’s daughter, Hailey, got to be with her whole class for field trip day, and everyone on set was just delighted. Even her two teachers got to be there, too.

When Hoda asked the group if it was the best field trip they’ve ever had, the little kids jumped up and down, screaming, “Yes! Yes! Yes!”

Hoda’s co-host, Jenna Bush-Hager, joked, “Hoda’s now the most popular mom in the whole school. Let’s do a field trip where we just get on television.”

Hoda's Daughter and Classmates Share Their Funniest Wishes

When the hosts got on the topic of a no-rules day, they revealed that they wouldn’t implement that in their own household, as LeBron James did with his 9-year-old, but they know their kids would love it.

Jenna asked all of Hailey’s class what they would do if they had a day with no rules.

“I would watch all the TV I want! Bluey!” Hailey said. One boy said, “I would play on my tablet all day!” Another said, “I would buy whatever I want!” while another said, “I would eat all the candy I wanted!”

The little kids brought so much energy and enthusiasm to the show. It must have been an exciting opportunity for them—a truly one-of-a-kind field trip experience, all thanks to Hoda. It is so fun that Hoda has a cool job where she can bring her child and her whole class on live TV. The children absolutely loved it, and so did Jenna and Hoda! This is a memory that they will never forget.

Soldier's Surprise Homecoming Leaves Younger Brother Overwhelmed with Joy and Tears

On one not-so-normal day in the classroom, a soldier's surprise homecoming leaves his younger brother absolutely overwhelmed with joy and tears. The brothers were so happy to be together again. Play this video to see the sweet moment between them.

The younger brother, Tristan, was sitting at his high school lunch table when his older brother, Jake, still in his military uniform, came and leaned on Tristan’s shoulder.

Tristan slowly turned to see who had touched him, and his face lit up when he saw who it was. “Jake!” he shouted. He laughed in delight before he burst into tears, hugging him. The last time the brothers had seen each other was three years ago.

An Emotional Reunion Shows the Unbreakable Bond Between Brothers

They were clearly so happy to be together again after so long. It must be so touching for Jake to see that Tristan loves him and missed him so much while he was away. He can be assured that his presence means a great deal to him.

Seeing a bond like this is so touching. You can’t help but feel something tug at your heart as you watch them. Three years is such a long time for two close siblings to be apart. It is hard to imagine someone you love being gone for that long, but it’s good that Tristan and Jake have been strong through it.

Hopefully, their relationship and bond are stronger than ever before after enduring so much distance. Moments like this are a great reminder of how precious relationships are. Only a deep relationship with someone can evoke such a deep and sweet reaction like this one, and there is a kind of power in that. These brothers show that time can’t erase deep bonds like love. It’s a beautiful moment.

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” Proverbs 17:17

Judge Frank Caprio's Heartfelt Message About The Importance of Being Present

“The kindest judge in the world"—Frank Caprio has a very heartfelt message about the importance of being present that you’ve just got to hear. This is an especially important message for parents. Watch the video to hear it!

When little children get on a stage for a performance, or when they step onto a court or field, they look around for their loved ones and usually look visibly happy when they see them. It’s a visible sign of how important it is to show up for them. They appreciate and love you for it, Frank says.

"One of my favorite memories was when my son David was in junior high school,” Frank said. “He had an away baseball game. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make it. I had court that day, but as soon as court was over, I jumped in my car, and I sped to the game, and I got there just in time to see David get a rare but solid hit.”

He slid into second base and turned at the sound of his dad’s cheers. He raised his hand in victory to him, and Frank did the same. It was a wonderful moment that meant a lot to each of them. And it wouldn’t have ever happened if Frank hadn’t made an effort to get to the game.

Why Showing Up for Loved Ones Matters More Than We Realize

“Showing up is not just about filling a seat,” Frank said. “It's about filling a heart. It's about showing love, support, and genuine interest in the lives of our friends and family by showing up. You are saying to them you matter to me and what you do matters to me.”

This shows how presence really matters. It’s encouraging and validating. Sometimes a gift or gesture isn’t always the best way to show someone that they matter to you–just showing up is enough.

Woman's Stirring Words Capture The Power And Beauty of The Father's Love

This woman's stirring words capture the power and beauty of the Father's love in a lovely way. She tells how she heard God’s voice. Watch the video to hear about it.

“The Lord spoke to me and said, ‘Tell my people not to put my love on layaway,’” influencer Brandi Pope recalled. “I knew instantly what he was talking about… He was saying that because his love is what transforms us.”

Layaway is when a store holds an item while a customer pays for it over time. A lot of people are not ready to pay the full price to receive his love. When you choose to follow Christ, there is a price you pay. But some people are pushing his love to the side.

“We are so comfortable with our demons. We’re so comfortable in our sin that we’re not ready to be transformed. So we’ve let him know, ‘Jesus, I do want you. God, I need you, but I’m going to put your love on layaway because I’m not ready to have that kind of encounter because I know what it’s going to cost me,” Brandi said.

A Powerful Reminder That God's Love Is Worth Embracing Today

After she heard God’s voice, Brandi got a vision of Jesus walking away from her with scars on his back. He turned and looked at her with eyes full of love.

She fully understood the sacrifice he made for everyone. He didn’t make it so that they could push his love aside.

All in all, Brandi’s message is a powerful reminder that God’s love is not something we have to earn or postpone until we feel ready to have it. It’s right there in reach.

“And you may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.” Ephesians 3:18

90-Year-Old Man Goes Viral For Going Back To School

This 90-year-old man goes viral for going back to school, and it’s clear to see why. It’s not every day you see someone this old going to college. It’s a very neat thing. Play the video to hear his story.

The Maryland man, Paul Hocheder, can be seen with his backpack walking into school in videos recorded by his granddaughter, Gabby. Paul already went to college at the University of Maryland many decades ago, after he served in the military for 7 years.

“I decided at this age that you should keep your mind moving in order to stay away and stay alive,” he said. “And I decided that I also ought to go to college and see what I missed and see what has taken place since then.”

So he joined Carroll Community College in Maryland for a class, “The Causes of WWI and WWII.” He believes he would like to major in history.

Gabby isn’t surprised that he wanted to go back to college because he loves learning.

“So I was excited for him to go back, and I thought it would be funny: what if we took a video of him walking into school for the first time? And I woke up the next day, and there were 500,000 views,” Gabby said.

Proof That You're Never Too Old to Chase Your Dreams

It’s no wonder why Paul’s videos have gone viral. How often do you see an elderly person with a backpack full of textbooks on a school campus?

Paul has loved his time at school. He believes it is good for his mind and body and gives him some youthfulness. He hopes other older people consider doing something similar.

Paul is such an inspiration to everyone. You are never too old to learn—or too young, for that matter. No matter what age you are, whether you are 15 or 100, if Paul can do it, so can you!

University's Response To Child Bullied Over College Shirt Wins Hearts

This university's response to a child who was bullied over a college shirt he made wins hearts, for sure. It is so sweet that the people in charge at the University of Tennessee were able to bless him in this way. Watch the video to see how.

A little boy from Florida made his own T-shirt design for College Colors Day at his school.

His scribbled “U.T.” over an orange shirt was so sincere.

His teacher, Laura Snyder, said, “I told my students about this day a week before. This particular child came to me and told me that he wanted to wear a University of Tennessee shirt, but he didn’t have one. We discussed that he could wear an orange shirt to show his spirit. He told me every day leading up to it that he had an orange shirt that he was going to wear. So when the day finally arrived, he was so excited to show me his shirt.”

But when the boy came back from lunch, he was crying. Some mean girls had made fun of his shirt. It’s so sad that the girls made fun of him for it, but it is heartwarming to see his enthusiasm. The University of Tennessee thought so too.

A Simple Act of Kindness Turns Heartbreak Into Hope

When administrators got wind of the incident, they decided to award the boy a full-ride scholarship after he graduates high school in 2028. It is an incredible gift. Not only that, but the school officials also got copies of the shirt made to sell to other fans, and they sold out. The university also donated a portion of the sales to an anti-bullying foundation.

It’s so wonderful that this boy got to be blessed in this way.

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." Colossians 3:12

Father Cries, Screams And Jumps For Joy After Son Accepted To New York School

One proud father screams and jumps for joy after his son was accepted to his dream school in New York. In this viral video, you can see Craig Allen Cooper and his son, Joshua Cooper, celebrate with pure excitement as they learn about the huge accomplishment. What a special moment between this father and son.

“There aren’t words, there’s deep emotion,” said Craig. “And I think it gets expressed in moments like that and then just in tears when I go, 'Man, he did it.” So yeah, I’m really, really proud of my boy and I’m excited to see, you know, what happens in his life. He pursued his dreams.”

Joshua Cooper was accepted early decision into New York University's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. This was his dream program, which he had set his sights on since visiting the campus at age 14. He also received a major scholarship to help cover the cost of his tuition.

“My passion is [music] production. I love that. I also write songs, and I sing them,” Joshua shared. “But my main focus is on producing for other artists.”

A Father's Unwavering Support Makes His Son's Dream Even Sweeter

Before seeing his acceptance to NYU, Joshua knew he wanted to share that experience with his family.

“I was working at the time that it came out. So I decided to just lock my phone in my car, and I didn’t even pull it out of my glove box driving home, because I wanted to find out with my family,” shared Joshua.

It is such a wonderful moment to see shared between these two – a dad jumping up and down, screaming with excitement, and his son smiling from ear to ear before breaking down in happy tears.

“He pursued his dreams and, you know, he’s going after it,” said Craig. “And I think that’s something, that’s a message, you know, for the world and an example for the world, you know, go after it. You’re going to fall down a bunch, you know, but he keeps getting right back up and pursuing it. And I am so excited and happy for him.”

A Day to Humble Yourself Before God

A Prayer for When You Don't Know What to Do

What do you do when you've tried everything you know to do, but nothing has changed?

Sometimes life leaves us facing situations we cannot fix, relationships we cannot repair alone, and circumstances we cannot control.

In today's Your Daily Prayer, Tammy Darling shares an honest reflection on feeling overwhelmed by a painful situation involving her past.

Turning to 2 Chronicles 20:12, she finds encouragement in King Jehoshaphat's prayer:

“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

This devotional explores six ways to keep moving forward when answers aren't clear: remembering, trusting, hoping, grieving, praying, and praising.

If you're feeling stuck, uncertain, or emotionally exhausted, this prayer is an invitation to bring your unanswered questions to God.

A Prayer to Prioritize Your Time Better | Your Daily Prayer

Does your schedule feel so full that you barely have time to breathe?

Between work, family, financial responsibilities, and everyday demands, it can be difficult to know what deserves your attention first.

In today's Your Daily Prayer, Emily Rose Massey reflects on Matthew 6:33 and Jesus' invitation to seek God's kingdom before allowing worry to control our hearts.

This prayer asks God for wisdom to prioritize our responsibilities, recognize unhealthy distractions, and find peace even when our schedules remain full.

You don't need to have everything organized before coming to God. You can seek Him right in the middle of your busy day.
